…who is Jackie?

Hi there! I’m Jackie!

If you are reading this and you already know me… Lucky you! If not, then here is a little bit about me…

My favorite color is purple. I am gonna cut to the chase here…I love Jesus with all of my heart and soul! I have always been a believer in God and Christ my entire life, however it wasn’t until a couple of years ago that I began to walk with Christ. I used to claim, ” I don’t need church to worship God. I know who he is and that is that. Plus I don’t have any time! Sunday is the ONLY day I get to sleep in!” I had visited different churches and did not really feel as if it was for me and gave up looking for a church. (I am referring to a span of years beginning in high school)

Well, one day my friend’s husband showed me a video on youtube and it made me cry. It was a really rough time in my life and this video moved me. (Ps. I have uploaded it and it’s titled: Moving video from youtube)  For days after viewing the video it would bring me to tears. I remember telling Mare (you may know her a Marianne, one of the Newbies) about this powerful video. A few days later she came over to my apartment and I showed it to her. I cried again and I remember her saying,  “Ok, so you’re crying and feel convicted, what are you going to do about it?” Those words resonated in my heart.

Long story short, I started to go to church with my friend and her family. I loved it so much that I found myself becoming actively involved. Now I teach Sunday school regularly and Love It! Oddly enough, I teach Monday -Friday too! Now, if someone would have come up to me two years ago and said, “Hey Jackie, you will walk with Christ, and use your gift to serve Him and bring Him glory” I would have looked at them as if they were crazy.

Well, I will be that crazy person and tell you, “Hey (insert name here), you will walk with Christ, and use your gift to serve Him and bring Him glory.”
